Welcome to the Christian Business Owners Blog
Your business is important to the vitality of your community. I always wondered what it meant to be successful in business when I was a young guy. At the age of 17 I was learning from TOP CHEFS in America and I was an employee. It would't be till much later that I would figure out the daily struggles of building a business. It wasnt till I was 30+ years old that I ever thought about making a business for myself.
In fact, I wouldn't learn for some time, after that, to navigate the direction, to learn about what I wanted to even do. At around 40, I was leaving Charleston SC and I was broken. My Deepest breaking point wouldn't even occur for a few years. I was still green at 40. For my whole life I worked hard and focused on building monuments to others. I was passionate for sure.

In the Early days of my career in cooking, I always wanted to be the CHEF & I ALWAYS showed up. I would work on what was required of me. It would end up being Hours on end and it seemed as if, sometimes it would never end. Have you ever had to work and really not know, when your job would end? Well, it is a terrible feeling unless you are working for yourself. Eventually you start to resent people, places, things, moments and much more.
It becomes everything you think about. It eats at you. It certainly isn't good for your own morale. It is a daily struggle to KEEP GOING!
What was I to do?
Do you think I would figure it out? Well, I guess eventually, I would. Today I admire my past and I am excited about the future. I am always geared on helping people. It is a fault, sometimes.. it is just because I am passionate. Sometimes, I don't see a clear picture of how I can help someone.
Mostly because they don't want help. There is always a lesson to be learned. Always.
I want you to win for the right reasons. I want you to win no matter what.
